Owner and Principal, Michelle Barker
Michelle Barker, Owner and Principal, is an experienced and seasoned Executive bringing over 15 years of leadership and management to the telecommunications industry. She has an extensive personal and professional background bringing unique talent and flair to this business. Michelle formed Arrow Technologies, LLC in March of 2002 as a Native American, Woman Owned 8(a), SDB, DBE & SBE Certified Company. She is a second generation Lakota Sioux off the reservation and a registered member of the Wood Mountain Reservation in Saskatchewan and the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. Michelle began her career as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of the five-star Phoenician Resort at Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona. After just two short years, Michelle rapidly made her mark and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to accept a position with HQ Global Workplaces as Vice President of Operations. She was quickly promoted and relocated to Denver, Colorado, where she became the President of her region supervising over 60 employees, overseeing 20 large real estate properties in four states and managing a $20M budget. Michelle’s husband, Jim Barker, had comprehensive experience in the telecommunications field, so this was the logical choice for starting a business. Together, Michelle and Jim make a great team and have successfully brought Arrow Technologies into the cutting edge of telecommunications.
Vice President, James Barker
James Barker brings a plethora of experience to our company as the Vice President of Arrow Technologies. Jim excels as a leader and prides himself on being extremely hands on and personally involved from inception to completion of every project. Jim’s dedication to his craft combined with his impeccable work ethic is the heart of Arrow’s success. His diligence and professionalism has been instrumental in developing and maintaining client relations. He is responsible for contract negotiations, estimating, bidding, maintaining client relations, overall project management, and oversees managers and field technicians. Jim has been a project manager in the telecommunications field for over ten years and has developed an extensive clientele list over the years that includes: Fort Carson Military Base, U.S. Air Force Academy, Schriever Air Force Base, FE Warren Air Force Base, Peterson Air Force Base, Madigan Army Hospital, HQ Global Workplaces, Denver International Airport, Qwest, City and County of Denver, Southern Ute Casino, and Anteon.
Business Development Director, Sonny Lastrella
Sonny brings ingenuity and charisma to the Arrow team. He has an array of experience in the areas of new business development, as well as, government, corporate and community relations. Sonny has a deep commitment and passion to the community of Colorado by participating in ongoing involvement with community-based technology and cultural programs designed to improve the health and cultural diversity of our society. Prior to joining Arrow Technologies, Sonny was the Director of Sales for Four Winds Interactive, a digital signage software company. He also served as Director of Business Development for Audio Visual Innovations: an audiovisual system integration firm and LGC Productions: a film and video studio, specializing in corporate business communications. From 1993 to 1996, Sonny worked in the State of Colorado in the Governor’s Office of Business Development where he was assigned to manage the Small Business Development Center program for the State. After serving the State of Colorado, Sonny moved to the private sector and has held sales and business development management positions in the finance, telecommunication and technology industries, as well as managing and owning a small business. He is actively involved in several industry related groups such as The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), American Institute of Architects (AIA), Association of General Contractors (AGC), Denver Advertising Federation (DAF), including serving as a founding advisor of ArtWorld Denver.
Director of Engineering, James Embury
Arrow Technologies is pleased to have Jamie Embury as our Director of Engineering Services. Jamie has worked all facets of the telecommunications industry, from Installation Technician, Project Manager, Distribution and Sales, Design and Engineering, and Estimating. Jamie holds a Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification since 2003 and has been a BISCI Member since 2000. He has intricate responsibilities designing integrated voice, data and video cabling infrastructures for diverse projects. He performs client needs analysis and site surveys of existing facilities and produces technical recommendations, requirements, reports and cost estimates for the client. Jamie creates the system design and produces technical specifications and construction drawings. He also assists clients during the bid phase of projects by authoring RFP’s, conducting pre-bid conferences, bid response review, and contractor evaluation. Construction services include reviewing submittals, attending construction meetings, performing site observations, producing punch lists, and performing acceptance test evaluation and record documentation. He provides standards, compliant designs according to EIA/TIA telecommunications standards and in accordance with national and local codes. Jamie’s design projects include: DOHA International Airport, Pueblo School District 60, Southern Ute Casino Hotel, and Mescalero Apache Inn of the Mountain Gods Hotel Casino just to name a few. Mr. Embury’s accolades go beyond the project design realm, as he also received the Gold Hard Hat Award Winner 2005, Most Outstanding Educational Facility Project, Pueblo School District #60 Voice and Data infrastructure upgrade. Jamie was published in a technical write up for Belden and was mentioned in the May 2008 Cabling Installation and Maintenance Magazine. Arrow Technologies truly appreciates having someone with Jamie’s extensive background working for our company.
President, William LeCaine Sr.
William LeCaine Sr. brings over 40 years of financial, banking, and marketing expertise to our company. Bill worked for several large financial institutions as an agent and manager. As an agent, he earned the prestigious Equitable Financial Award. Early on in his career, he spent 15 years as a professional hockey player and played two years for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was the first Native-American player to enter the National Hockey League back in 1968. After 21 years, he is still a member of the Detroit Red Wing Alumni Association. As a professional athlete, Bill learned the value and importance of good competition and teamwork. His aspirations ultimately led to his decision to team up with his daughter Michelle and her husband Jim to create Arrow Technologies. With his leadership background in hockey and his expertise in finance, it made perfect sense that Bill would preside as President of Arrow Technologies. Bill was able to channel what he learned out on the ice and incorporate the notion of “teamwork” into the company. He is a strong advocate of using the teamwork concept to create a family-oriented atmosphere for his employees. On many occasions, Bill has referred to his co-workers and colleagues as “extended family.” Bill’s dedication to his employees is evident in the workplace, as many of Arrow’s employees have been with the company since its inception in 2002. Bill is an excellent leader, motivational speaker, and an overall inspiration to his peers. He is also an involved member of the community and diversifies himself in many organizations. He is the Co-Chair of the Denver Indian Center, Inc. Fall Gala Silent Auction; an Advisor to the Mile High Pow-Wow Organization; Founder and Chairperson of the Port Huron Annual Native American Pow-Wow; Founder of the Native American Scholarship/Baker College, and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber. Bill also was a guest speaker on the Guest Minority Lecture Series where he gave motivational speeches at colleges with other minority professionals.
Chief Financial Officer, Luke Morales
Specializing in implementing strong reporting and accountability procedures, Luke Morales comes to Arrow Technologies with superior qualifications and accounting skills. Luke oversees and directs all significant aspects of Arrow’s financial, accounting, treasury, risk management, forecasting, and financial compliance operations. He has helped in increasing efficiency and strategizing successful business policies with our company and with numerous companies he has been involved. Luke has over ten years of experience in running accounting departments in diverse industries such as construction, financial, architecture, and telecom. He holds an MBA from Hartford University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Finance from Brigham Young University (BYU). Luke graduated at the top of his class earning the honorary Magna Cum Laude at BYU. Luke’s role has been instrumental in the growth and success of our company.
